Carbon Fibre Repair and Restoration

Carbon fibre repair focuses on restoring the structural integrity and appearance of components that have been cracked, chipped, or otherwise damaged. The process begins with identifying the extent and type of damage, whether it’s cosmetic or structural. For structural repairs, the damaged area is carefully ground down to remove compromised fibres, and new layers of carbon fibre fabric are applied using epoxy resin, ensuring proper alignment with the original weave for strength and consistency. Once cured, the surface is sanded and shaped to match the original contours. Cosmetic repairs, such as addressing clear coat fading or minor scuffs, involve polishing, reapplying resin, or adding a UV-protective clear coat. The goal is to restore both function and aesthetics while maintaining the lightweight and high-performance qualities that make carbon fibre a preferred material in automotive, aerospace, and sporting applications.
